The Gathering

Here are a few photos from last week’s bird watching outing at Wyandotte County Lake in Kansas. We saw thousands of geese and ducks, and wow, the racket they made was deafening.
Just before we left, four eagles swooped down on a patch of ice to pick at the carcass of a dead snow goose. No photos of that carnage, thank goodness.
