“The First Two Pages,” a blog series begun by B.K. Stevens in 2015 and continued after her death in 2017 by Art Taylor, features a fabulous collection of essays in which fiction writers discuss the decisions they made in crafting the first couple of pages of their work. It’s an excellent resource for any writer, and I’m honored that Art invited me to contribute a piece about “Leah,” my cover story in the November/December 2018 issue of Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine. Read my essay reflecting on the first two pages here. And be sure to check “The First Two Pages” archives on Bonnie’s and Art’s websites.
